Lynns 70th Birthday!
Absolutely superb! Our rooms were ready in advance of our arrival, and we were offered an upgrade. There were 8 ladies celebrating a milestone birthday. The spa treatments were exceptional! We dined in the restaurant where the staff were attentive, and the food was fabulous! A buffet breakfast with a vast selection of both full English and continental selection was the perfect close to our stay. We will be back! Thank-you Norton Park and the team :-)
A Great mini break at a great price
My friend & I had a lovely relaxing overnight spa break with treatments and it was bliss. We were made very welcome, loved the robe given to us but missed the slippers they used to give out. The treatments we chose were lovely and very relaxing. The room was lovely, warm and clean. Dinner was really good but the way they now do the excess & drinks bill is very odd - for staff & guests and was much simpler when we used to pay on check out.
Lovely place to stay, will definitely be back, hopefully soon
It's a lovely setting so the initial impression is great and it just gets better! The room was a little away from the restaurant but it's quite a big hotel so that's unavoidable. The room was warm and welcoming and a good size. The highlight of the stay was the food! We ate in the bar and the restaurant - both were excellent and the service and the food were exceptional.
Fantastic stay
Me and my partner had a fantastic stay at Norton park Hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. As Breakaway members we felt very welcomed by Laura, who went out of her way to make our stay special. Will definitely be returning.
Exceptional and so recharging
We had a lovely restful Peaceful and relaxing stay. The room was lovely everything looked so clean and of a high standard maybe even new. Quality towels and toiletries in the bathrooms. Breakfast was good and the staff were happy to bring us vegan sausages which was very appreciated. There was also a great menu in the bar area really nice well thought out food for vegans too which we really enjoyed. The best bit however was the spa again everything seems new or very well kept and very clean. The pool was divine a very beautiful deep blue colour and we loved the heated loungers and the steam and spa room. Great having the ice to use too and a really calm serene relaxation room. The spa host on the 9th Feb in the evening was exceptional I can’t remember her name but she is a real credit to you along with the breakfast staff on the morning of the 11th Feb. Thank you so much we will be back.
Fantastic hotel within lovely grounds
We stayed in the 16th‑century manor house close to the main hotel during a short break to Winchester and found the accommodation very comfortable. The staff throughout Norton Park were friendly and made us feel genuinely well looked after. The bar area was pleasant and served lunches, evening meals and afternoon tea. We had our evening meal in the restaurant. The meal was cooked to perfection, and breakfast the next morning was very good. With the lovely surroundings, the quality of the food and service, and the added indulgence of a spa on site, it felt excellent value for money. Will definitely return.
An hotel that offers a very good all round experience.
Set deep in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, yet within easy access to the highway network. The hotel has a wonderfull atmosphere, the rooms are so well appointed and the staff are attentive and friendly. The self service breakfast counters had an exceptional choice and variety to choose from, all being very delicious. We had an Afternoon Tea, which again had an exceptional variety of delicacies to test the taste buds. One of the nicest we have had for a long time. Whilst we did not use the Spa on this occasion, the pool and gym looked very inviting....perhaps another time. Our stay was only short but we will certainly be returning to continue exploring all this hotel has to offer, it gives, in our opinion very good value for money in today's market.
A wonderful stay!
A wonderful stay! The superior room was lovely, spacious and immaculate. The evening meal was delicious with a great menu selection. Excellent breakfast where everything was fresh and a great choice of hot and cold choices. The pool was a great addition to our stay. Thd hotel is in an ideal location very convenient for Winchester and surrounding Hampshire. Thank you so much. Will definately return.
Birthday celebrations
Nice hotel, very friendly staff, good clean rooms and spa facilities. Food in the restaurant was good and came in a good timely manner, but food in the bar ( from same kitchen) was painfully slow having to a number of times enquiry if they were growing the food before cooking. Not great especially as a number of us have worked in hospitality and know how long things take. It's like the bar is forgotten about. The hotel grounds with a little investment could be spectacular, but currently look abandoned as does the old manor house with rotting timbers and collapsing glasshouses. Maybe a look at the Pig group for inspiration.
Comfortable nights sleep.
Comfortable bed clean room. Cold walking through the hotel, had to turn heating up in room. View was basically brambles and bushes. Bit of a maze getting to bar area. Swimming pool was busy no sun beds left and the two warming beds were hogged by people. Steam room had little atmosphere half the lights were out. Was over charged for an upgrade, when challenged the girl looked into it and rang room to say they could provide a voucher to use at hotel? I refused the voucher and requested a refund which was then sorted. Barn and grounds quite run down, shame as would be a lovely wedding venue with new thatched roof on barn.
A good hotel with leisure facilities and food to suit a variety of budgets.
A huge sprawling hotel. We stayed in room 163. A long walk from main reception. The 'annexe' wing where we stayed was rather tired. No plugs by the bed so take some very long charging leads with you! The bedding was wonderful. Huge feather pillows and a feather duvet. Shower over bath. I think it was clean but the age of everything meant it looked dirty. Bath plug took ages to drain away. A good snack-type meal in the bar at reasonable cost. The restaurant prices were more expensive. Breakfast was in the main restaurant with a good buffet selection presented nicely. Great coffee machines and the best hotel toaster we've ever come across! We made good use of the gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Towels were supplied at the spa reception but no slippers or gowns either in the room or at spa reception. These are supplied, though, if you have spa treatments. The staff were helpful and friendly. Simon at reception allowed us early access to our room. Subba was the lovely room attendant who happily re-supplied towels. We would visit again but we would choose a room closer to the main reception and leisure facilities.
