Hotel restaurant at Norton Park Hotel, Winchester.

Fantastic, place the grounds are stunning, not sure why the reviews are so bad, we have had excellent service, the room has everything you need, and the evening meal was excellent, Krishna was an asset to the restaurant, very attentive. We will definitely stay again 💯%

Lovely 2 night stay. Very dog friendly .. Bed & water bowl in the room. Large well equipped room. Very friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was good & tasty. We had perfectly cooked poached eggs. We were there at the same time as the Barbara O'Neil conference & although the hotel was extremely busy. The breakfast buffet was constantly being replenished. Spa was so nice with Very knowledgeable & friendly staff. Our only critism was walking towards the lake the perimeter path needs tidying & cutting back. We didnt eat other than breakfast so can't comment on lunch or dinner But overall had a great few days & husband had a great birthday. Wine in the room was a nice touch. Thank you look forward to a return visit

Two opposing experiences. Wonderful customer service from Laura After the below experience had happened, she went the extra mile to get me a coffee and make sure I was looked after - so wanted to express my thanks as definitely turned a negative into a positive. Terrible from Ryan Wanted to get a coffee, was totally ignored while I stood waiting at the bar for a significant time while he did all manner of other things without even an acknowledgement I was there, until I eventually asked if there was a reason he was ignoring me, to which he said, I’ll get to you in a minute, at which point I gave up and left.

Swimming pool is only until 6pm for kids on a Sunday :( Breakfast is only until 930am :( It's a very long walk from our room to the pool and restaurant :( The room is not air conditioned. It was still hot even with the provided electric fan. We were not able to sleep comfortably because of the temperature in our room. The towel rack is situated directly above the toilet bowl. At one point, the towel fell inside the toilet bowl. Overall, we were not really happy with our stay. :(

Fantastic hotel in a lovely location. Our room was clean and the food was great. We were welcomed by a lovely member of staff on Reception. All of the staff were very friendly. The grounds were amazing and we particularly enjoyed relaxing under a willow tree by the lake. There was an on-site wedding venue which looked beautiful. It’s a shame we’re already married! The hotel is in close proximity to Winchester and many other places of interest. We can’t wait to return to explore further. Well done!!

The hotel complex is in a wonderful, relaxing country setting with pathways to walk and lots of areas to sit outside. Rooms are nicely appointed with good quality bathroom products, extensive TV lineup, and everything you need in a hotel room. The on-site restaurant has great service and food choices, as well as the bar and lounge. The only drawback was the lack of air-conditioning throughout the property, especially given the recent high temperatures in England. Plenty of free on-site parking was a bonus.

We stayed 2nights in August, on a b&b basis, with dinner on the first night. We were given a complementary room upgrade,which was a bonus. The meal the first night was good quality ( although the side salad was very uninspiring!), but was a long time coming as they weren't that busy. The breakfasts were good, with plenty of choice, although you did have the odd wait while some of the cooked items were replenished. The staff throughout the hotel were both pleasant and helpful; and the hotel and grounds were very well kept. Set deep in the heart of the countryside it is a beautifully quiet location..

The venue was very spacious with lots of things to do . There is a swimming pool, dogs are welcome,parking with electric charging and breakfast had lots of options

Location is peaceful, we attended a wedding in the barn, which was amazing. What didnt work well was the presale web part. Pre the visit you are offered various upsell opportunities. I chose the pressecco romantic option. Nobody got back to me. I mentioned at check in. The lovely lady on reception, apologised, she did make it happen, but it wasnt the surprise I planned. An hour into our stay, whilst enjoying the glass of fizz, I had an email saying. Sorry we are unable to supply the romantic package you requested, we apologise for any inconvenience. But picky, I appreciate, but the presell could be that extra bit. Overall though lovely hotel.

Lovely room, excellent service, great facilities and great food in Scene. A special mention for both Simon (reception) who saved our stay with an effortless room change and to Ben (Scene Restaurant) who made our anniversary dinner perfect and could not do enough for us. Thank you all.

Had a very pleasant stay, extensive breakfast on offer, and good leisure pool , with sauna and steam room , only lacking a jacuzzi . Overall a great place to stay.

I had two nights at Norton Park Hotel (as a Travelzoo deal). I had an upgrade to a superior room, which was a nice surprise. The room was great. Complimentary mini bar, air con and nespresso machine. Very comfy bed. Quiet room. I had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and although the goats cheese panacotta wasn't set, it was very tasty. Had the salmon for main, it was piping hot (I've seen other reviews complaining about this). Breakfast was good, well stocked buffet and all cooked items were nice. The grounds are lovely, I spent most of my time sat by the lake and outside of the bar in the sunshine. All the staff I encountered were really pleasant and friendly. I didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on that. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked three nights with breakfast to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary, and I arranged six spa treatments as a surprise for my wife — two massages, two pedicures and two manicures. The hotel itself was lovely. Our room was very nice, and the complimentary minibar was an unexpected and welcome touch. When I contacted the spa to double-check the treatment times, I spoke to a lovely lady called Michelle. She explained that, because we were staying at the hotel, we would receive a discount on the spa treatments. This was a pleasant surprise, particularly as the treatments came to a total of £568 before any discount. We had our massages on the Saturday afternoon. My massage was enjoyable, although I was disappointed that it didn't include a head massage. I had assumed that a full-body massage would include the head, although I accept that I should perhaps have checked this beforehand. On Sunday, we had our manicures and pedicures. Unfortunately, I wasn't particularly impressed with the finish. My nails felt quite rough afterwards rather than smooth, which I would have expected given the price being charged. There was also an issue with my wife's treatment booking. Due to a mistake with the original booking, she ended up having a 25-minute treatment, yet we were still charged the full price. The biggest disappointment, however, came when I got home and went through my expenses. I realised that the discount Michelle had told me about had not been applied. For example, one massage was £114, while the pedicure was £85 and the manicure was also £85. I appreciate that mistakes can happen, but when a member of staff specifically tells you that you will receive a discount, you naturally expect that to be reflected in the final bill. To discover afterwards that it hadn't been applied was extremely disappointing, especially when the treatments were already very expensive. Overall, I feel the spa prices are excessive for what you actually receive, and the quality of the treatments did not, in my opinion, justify the cost. That said, I would happily return to the hotel. The accommodation and overall hotel experience were very good. However, if my wife asks whether I would return to the spa, my answer would be no. I would appreciate the management looking into the discount that was promised, the full charge for the shortened treatment, and the overall value and quality of the spa treatments. Hotel clean, spa team were amazing, reception and bar staff fabulous, food at the restaurant was amazing BUT the service at the restaurant was very poor. Only 1 lady taking orders and bringing food out while 3 others stood and did nothing other than bring water to the table. Waited ages for someone to take our drinks and food order and someone even bought the desert menu out while we had only just got our starter. We wanted desert but because it took so long for someone to come and ask us we decided to leave. RESTAURANT NEEDS WORK!!

Stayed at Norton Park Hotel in Winchester , lovely setting and the grounds are beautiful, my wife had a spa in the afternoon and she was very relaxed afterwards. They let us check in early, so was very nice of them . The staff were all very courteous and friendly. The only drawback was at the Bar , probably needed few more staff cause it was very busy on that Saturday we visited but other than that , would definitely recommend the Hotel.

My review is specifically for Kelly in the spa !! She was absolutely amazing and my treatments were just perfect. I would have liked to have sent a tip directly to Kelly, however I didn’t have cash and tips go to the collective, therefore it would be unlikely she would have received what was due to her as an amazing therapist. Hotel was lovely, no issues at all. I was staying purely for a one night spa break.

Comfortable Hotel, nice rooms, very clean and modern rooms with a good sized bed. However without aircon or a fan the rooms were very warm! The main disappointment was the food and the service in the restaurant! We had fish and chips but the “fish” was Hake and wasn’t nice and at the price it should be cod or haddock! Just pure cost cutting! We went down to breakfast at 9.15 to be told very rudely that they closed at 9.30 and felt rushed to stuff our food down and get out!

Loved a 2 day experience recently . 4th visit to the hotel and really enjoyed our stay with our dog Molly. Rooms great, lovely breakfast and beautiful grounds for a good walk. Really nice pool and spa. Special thanks to Andrea in the breakfast dining room, who went out of her way to make us feel very welcome 😃

We treated our daughter to a weekend away at Norton Park, booked through Secret Escapes. It wasn’t very busy when we went, which suited me. I could sit outside in the sun and walk around the grounds without feeling crowded, and I liked the quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They weren’t huge, but they were big enough, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We didn’t hear any neighbours, so either the nearby rooms were empty or the other guests were very quiet. The price was very good. Through Secret Escapes I paid £458 for two rooms for two nights. That included a £35 per person dinner allowance on the first night, breakfast both mornings and use of the spa facilities. My daughter and I also had treatments on the Sunday, which cost £233 for both. I don’t know if that is standard pricing, but the treatments were very nice. There were a few negatives. Dinner service was very slow and we waited about an hour. My daughter and I both ordered the scallops as a starter and were very disappointed. We got two tiny scallops with a small amount of black pudding. They were covered by our voucher, but at £15.50 I would have been annoyed if we had paid for them. For that price I would expect bigger scallops or more of them. Apart from those two issues, the food was great. I also ordered a Mai Tai at the bar. It was green and tasted nothing like the Mai Tais I’ve had before. It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t a Mai Tai. Overall I really enjoyed the stay despite those few issues, and I would go back if I could get a similar deal.
