Birthday celebrations
Nice hotel, very friendly staff, good clean rooms and spa facilities. Food in the restaurant was good and came in a good timely manner, but food in the bar ( from same kitchen) was painfully slow having to a number of times enquiry if they were growing the food before cooking. Not great especially as a number of us have worked in hospitality and know how long things take. It's like the bar is forgotten about. The hotel grounds with a little investment could be spectacular, but currently look abandoned as does the old manor house with rotting timbers and collapsing glasshouses. Maybe a look at the Pig group for inspiration.
Comfortable nights sleep.
Comfortable bed clean room. Cold walking through the hotel, had to turn heating up in room. View was basically brambles and bushes. Bit of a maze getting to bar area. Swimming pool was busy no sun beds left and the two warming beds were hogged by people. Steam room had little atmosphere half the lights were out. Was over charged for an upgrade, when challenged the girl looked into it and rang room to say they could provide a voucher to use at hotel? I refused the voucher and requested a refund which was then sorted. Barn and grounds quite run down, shame as would be a lovely wedding venue with new thatched roof on barn.
A good hotel with leisure facilities and food to suit a variety of budgets.
A huge sprawling hotel. We stayed in room 163. A long walk from main reception. The 'annexe' wing where we stayed was rather tired. No plugs by the bed so take some very long charging leads with you! The bedding was wonderful. Huge feather pillows and a feather duvet. Shower over bath. I think it was clean but the age of everything meant it looked dirty. Bath plug took ages to drain away. A good snack-type meal in the bar at reasonable cost. The restaurant prices were more expensive. Breakfast was in the main restaurant with a good buffet selection presented nicely. Great coffee machines and the best hotel toaster we've ever come across! We made good use of the gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Towels were supplied at the spa reception but no slippers or gowns either in the room or at spa reception. These are supplied, though, if you have spa treatments. The staff were helpful and friendly. Simon at reception allowed us early access to our room. Subba was the lovely room attendant who happily re-supplied towels. We would visit again but we would choose a room closer to the main reception and leisure facilities.
Wonderful relaxing stay 5*
Fantastic overnight stay. Firstly would like to thank all the lovely staff everyone was so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The Spa was lovely and my friend and I had beauty treatment, the receptionist on the Spa was so welcoming. Dinner was a real treat the food was delicious the restaurant was spacious and inviting. The rooms very clean and the luxurious bedding was fantastic and we had a great nights sleep. Early morning swim at the pool. Breakfast was amazing lots of choices from fresh fruit pastries cereals and lots of hot food including bacon eggs sausage tomato mushrooms, we left with very full bellies. Sun was shining so off to walk round the grounds the back to court yard to enjoy the surroundings. We didn’t want our stay to end and we will definitely be returning. All in all one of the nicest friendly places we have stayed and by far the nicest staff that smiled all the time. Well done Norton Park 5* stay for us it was perfect. Thank you.
Great experience
From driving along the long and winding road which led to the hotel and right up to our departure, our whole experience was wonderful. The Receptionist was really helpful and we were informed we had been upgraded. Our room was lovely along with the complimentary room bar and room snacks. We were also left a box of chocolates in the room. At the bar we received a complimentary drink. The food was excellent, as were each and every member of staff we encountered. The stay was to celebrate a milestone, and the evening and breakfast was a wonderful experience. We can't wait to sample other Q Hotels as well as returning to Norton Park. Thank you Norton Park.
Another lovely spa break at Norton Park!
We really enjoyed our weekend. Everything was so clean and comfortable and the staff were really obliging and friendly.
Had a lovely time at the hotel and the staff are really helpful.
We stayed at the Norton Hotel and Spa in Sutton Scotney. Thank you to Antonia at reception for upgrading us to a lovely room for our 10 Wedding Anniversary and arranging a surprise for us and to Simon for bringing up a complimentary bottle of bubbles to our room. This made it very special. We had a lovely stay. The room and hotel were very clean and the staff very helpful. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.
One night stay
The hotel was excellent and the staff were helpful. The room was very clean. What let this place down was the dining experience. The evening good wasn’t great but edible but breakfast was awful. Hardly anything left and we had to ask three times for more food to come out but even then it was disappointing to say the least. Such a shame although I would stsy again.
Two night break
We had a very pleasant stay for two nights. The staff were very attentive providing excellent service. The food was good with an extensive choice.
A Good Clean Modern Country Hotel
My partner and I chose this hotel through Groupon and spent two nights there. Breakfast and one night’s dinner included. First impressions , a modern , clean hotel set in the countryside, 20 mins outside of Winchester . Our room was, very modern, clean , cosy and a quiet room with all the amenities to relax. Dinner was fine and on a par with a pub menu. The service was very quick and efficient. Breakfast was a buffet with a good choice of everything , fried and continental. All the staff were very professional and helpful. We went out for Sunday lunch and the nearest pub was The Cricketers in Longparish which does excellent Sunday lunch. It was 15 mins away. The hotel loses one star as it is somewhat isolated from everything and you definately need a car if you stay there. Also the swimming pool has restricted times for adults with kids swimming for two hours every morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Not idea if you want a quiet morning swim.
Lovely location with good rooms and friendly staff
A very nice hotel in lovely grounds. We stayed on a sunny day and it was lovely to walk around the well kept site and down to the manor lake. The reception staff were friendly on check in, the room was lovely and clean and well appointed. Dinner was good, again with helpful staff, as was the breakfast. All in all a very nice experience.
Lovely stay but a few improvements needed
Nice few days at Norton Park but rather disappointed with unfriendly reception staff and evening menu - over priced and not value for money. Beautiful grounds and good facilities, we have stayed at various Q Hotels in the UK and unfortunately this one was the most disappointing.
Great location and wonderful staff
This was booked as a last minute getaway and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. We had a perfect breakfast each morning and dinner was delicious. The spa treatment was perfect and the staff are all so friendly. I will definitely be visiting again soon. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.
Best mini holiday retreat!
We had the best stay at Norton Park. I booked a spa night away for my boyfriend's birthday and the whole experience was honestly way beyond my expectations. The team spoiled my boyfriend and we had the best day at the spa - the massage and dinner were 10/10. We are so looking forward to coming back soon!
Stunning hotel
Just returned from this amazing hotel. Everything was perfect from arrival to departure. Stayed two nights and dined in restaurant on both nights in hotel, very good food and service. Breakfast was amazing on both mornings and staff all very welcoming. A truly lovely hotel in an amazing setting will definitely be back
Weekender
The reception area is stunning. The rooms are adequate. A choice of pillows would be one suggestion. As tge pillows on the bed are horrendous. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. The bathroom would have benefited from a deep clean too. Other than this our stay was fine.
Back Again!!
Another lovely weekend at one of our favourite Q Hotels. Always a warm welcome, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Breakfasts offer a wide choice of options and dinners are delicious. Ample grounds offer countryside walks without getting in the car. A well equipped gym and a swimming offer something a little more energetic. Well worth a visit.
Great staff & food…good spa
Superb staff..they can’t do enough to make the stay enjoyable. Kim & Alex deserve a special mention. Food was delicious too. Welcoming and they enhanced my Birthday celebrations. The ‘standard’ room we had was adequate but would suggest paying for a bigger one if you can. Lots of corridors between the rooms and the bar/restaurant
Pleasant stay
We had a pleasant stay at the Norton, the hotel itself is modern and clean and the staff were very polite. The pool and sauna were well maintained, but it was sad to see the manor house and orangery in such a poor state of repair. The evening meal was slow to arrive also but the food was very nice and didn't really disrupt our evening. We also embarked on the woodland walk with the use of the hotel map which was poorly mapped out and had hidden signage, eventually we had help from reception in finding where the walk began as the map was no use at all. We did enjoy our stay at the Norton and it's quiet and remote location and would stay again.
A lovely hotel in a stunning setting.
We enjoyed a lovely break this weekend. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very comfortable with a lovely shower. We had a delicious breakfast this morning and enjoyed a cup of tea outside in the sunshine. We visited the pool too and enjoyed the amenities. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a stroll around the grounds.
