Lovely location with good rooms and friendly staff
A very nice hotel in lovely grounds. We stayed on a sunny day and it was lovely to walk around the well kept site and down to the manor lake. The reception staff were friendly on check in, the room was lovely and clean and well appointed. Dinner was good, again with helpful staff, as was the breakfast. All in all a very nice experience.
Lovely stay but a few improvements needed
Nice few days at Norton Park but rather disappointed with unfriendly reception staff and evening menu - over priced and not value for money. Beautiful grounds and good facilities, we have stayed at various Q Hotels in the UK and unfortunately this one was the most disappointing.
Great location and wonderful staff
This was booked as a last minute getaway and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. We had a perfect breakfast each morning and dinner was delicious. The spa treatment was perfect and the staff are all so friendly. I will definitely be visiting again soon. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.
Best mini holiday retreat!
We had the best stay at Norton Park. I booked a spa night away for my boyfriend's birthday and the whole experience was honestly way beyond my expectations. The team spoiled my boyfriend and we had the best day at the spa - the massage and dinner were 10/10. We are so looking forward to coming back soon!
Stunning hotel
Just returned from this amazing hotel. Everything was perfect from arrival to departure. Stayed two nights and dined in restaurant on both nights in hotel, very good food and service. Breakfast was amazing on both mornings and staff all very welcoming. A truly lovely hotel in an amazing setting will definitely be back
Weekender
The reception area is stunning. The rooms are adequate. A choice of pillows would be one suggestion. As tge pillows on the bed are horrendous. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. The bathroom would have benefited from a deep clean too. Other than this our stay was fine.
Back Again!!
Another lovely weekend at one of our favourite Q Hotels. Always a warm welcome, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Breakfasts offer a wide choice of options and dinners are delicious. Ample grounds offer countryside walks without getting in the car. A well equipped gym and a swimming offer something a little more energetic. Well worth a visit.
Great staff & food…good spa
Superb staff..they can’t do enough to make the stay enjoyable. Kim & Alex deserve a special mention. Food was delicious too. Welcoming and they enhanced my Birthday celebrations. The ‘standard’ room we had was adequate but would suggest paying for a bigger one if you can. Lots of corridors between the rooms and the bar/restaurant
Pleasant stay
We had a pleasant stay at the Norton, the hotel itself is modern and clean and the staff were very polite. The pool and sauna were well maintained, but it was sad to see the manor house and orangery in such a poor state of repair. The evening meal was slow to arrive also but the food was very nice and didn't really disrupt our evening. We also embarked on the woodland walk with the use of the hotel map which was poorly mapped out and had hidden signage, eventually we had help from reception in finding where the walk began as the map was no use at all. We did enjoy our stay at the Norton and it's quiet and remote location and would stay again.
A lovely hotel in a stunning setting.
We enjoyed a lovely break this weekend. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very comfortable with a lovely shower. We had a delicious breakfast this morning and enjoyed a cup of tea outside in the sunshine. We visited the pool too and enjoyed the amenities. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a stroll around the grounds.
Good experience. Nice environment
Great location, rooms. We used the conference room for 2 days. Experience with conference room coffee and tea serving was not good. Had to ask for it.
Lovely hotel, perfect for mid week stay
A lovely hotel with a comfortable bed with a very pleasant decor. The pillows were nice and plump, there were plenty of teas and coffees and the TV was of a reasonable size. The hotel has a gym and a pool, with steam room and suana. I only used the pool on this stay, where the water temperature was perfect. I did not use the restaurant or bar on this occasion. On this visit, I could not find a single fault, my visit was perfect. I ve now reserved a number of advanced bookings, as Im definitely coming back.
Overnight break
Stayed many times before and had another enjoyable stay. On arrival reception wasn’t manned and we waited for about 5 mins for someone to arrive. Had a nice evening meal but was a shame that the wine we asked for wasn’t available and my first choice for evening meal had sold out too. Spa is nice and relaxing, but a few more beds would be nice down by the steam room, now the pool covers been installed.
Perfect visit.
Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Stayed a number of times and always perfect. Kind and caring staff. Breakfast has a wide selection to cover all tastes. We’ll continue our visits.
Relaxed stay in beautiful location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Norton Park. Ideally located close to Winchester and nestled within beautiful surroundings, the hotel offered a wonderfully relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the breakfast selection was particularly varied and enjoyable. It was also lovely to see that some guests had brought their dogs along. The staff were courteous, attentive, and welcoming at all times. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, with a pleasant view and the added convenience of a fridge. While the bathroom would benefit from a refresh, there was an ample supply of hot water throughout our stay. Overall, we had a lovely experience and would happily return in the future.
Beautiful grounds,had a lovely walk
Nice hotel, good breakfast. The shower door needs changing for a sliding one as it opens out and drips over the floor, also did not close properly.
Great hotel
Really lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Comfortable and very clean room. Excellent dining room both for dinner and breakfast. Sunny outside space by the bar with plenty of chairs and tables. Friendly, professional staff. Recommend without hesitation!
Excellent stay with friendly staff
What a lovely stay we had with amazing staff. Simon on reception and Sam in the restaurant was particularly lovely. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. And the hotel had plenty of amenities. My suggestions for a better stay would be: 1) bath robes in the rooms for use in spa 2) very disappointed to not find a jacuzzi in the spa 3) waiter table service in the bar and outside.
A great place for a minibreak near to many local attractions.
The hotel is nicely presented and has an inviting setting. It has great facilities including a bar area with veranda areas where you can buy food and drink. We really didn't expect the extent of the grounds which include a lake and easy access to walks to the nearby vilage. We could have easily just stayed here for a few days relaxation. The pool and spa facilities are not huge but more than adequate for pampering. Reading other reviews the restaurant is reported as bland but we found the food especially the buffet breakfast and food from the bar very pleasant. There are pleanty of country pubs in the area if you want something more than the offer. Staff here were very helpful and our room was kept clean and tidy, had all the facilities that we needed for our three day stay and the prices were very reasonable. We will visit again.
Relaxing short break
An enjoyable short break. Whilst the upgrade to the Manor building was appreciated the room offered was not suitable to our needs and thanks to Simon for going above and beyond in sorting out an alternative. It is a large site so improved signage and a map upon arrival would have been helpful. As a modern hotel it is also surprising that the majority of the rooms only have showers over the baths. We made good use of the spa facilities and the breakfast which set us up for the day. Good location with numerous sights of interest within a short distance.
